A rollercoaster of emotions.

My girlfriend hates rollercoasters. She has a crippling fear of heights and the very thought of riding a rollercoaster bring her to tears. However, she told me that she wanted to get over this fear. So I bought her tickets to Knott’s Berry Farm.

She was torn between wanting to challenge herself and succumbing to her fears. In the end, she braved it and forced herself to ride. Her eyes were shut the entire time, she told me she was praying to God to protect her (lmao), and her very small hands were holding on to the bar for dear life.

After we got off, she was trembling and shaking. She was in tears because of how scared she was but she was proud of herself for riding it.

My girlfriend went through a rollercoaster of emotions that day. She also literally went on a rollercoaster as well. As all of us ride the rollercoaster of life, let’s remember to never settle and pursue growth, despite all the discomfort.
